When you have a family it can be stressful going on vacation. The preparation, the packing, and the screaming kids can often test the strength of the most patient parents. But there are a few items you should always take with you, that might make it a little easier.
The essentials should be first on your list. This means planning for the type of vacation you are going on. Make sure you have one extra change of clothes more than you will need for each family member, as well as an extra change of pajamas. An extra swimsuit may be needed, and always bring sunblock, no matter where you are going, or when.
Items to entertain yours kids should be within easy reach. Coloring books, little toys, or games are great for either the car, or plane rides. If you will be on the road (or in the air) long, make sure you have several to cope with kids short attention span.
Make sure you have all papers and necessary information on hand. Make a label with name, address, phone number, emergency contact info, blood type, and allergies for all members of the family to keep on them. Also, bring all insurance information, and the number of your GP along.
